My 2000 ML 320 has a clunk under gas from stop. So i assume i need a new used T-case for under $250 canadian...plus it came used with no low range switch or one for the heated seats, too. Sunroof leaks so bad i taped it up...So i have to strip interior, clean out sunroof run off piller tubes of debris so it slows the leaks enough i can repair the din radio plus other electrical faults.

Isnt ETS in the 2000 ml 320 if you apply the brakes & the gas together ?

Interesting video, the difference is clearly noticeable. I've read in multiple sources that the upgrade to 4ETS+ happened in the year 2001 but almost all of the 2001 MLs that I see being for sale are still pre-facelift models and all the facelifted MLs are from 2002 and onwards. Is there any chance that the latest pre-facelift models from 2001 actually have the upgraded 4ETS+ system on them?

I’m going to look into upgrading the brake lines as you mentioned . If anything it’s just more robust but I believe you when you say it can help out off-road .

My father had a 1978 Cherokee Chief with a 360 quadratic 4 wheel drive that thing was a beast. We would use it for pulling logs for firewood and we pulled other trucks out of the mud Dad had that thing till 1990. Over 250,000 miles never had any major problems. Oil changes,brakes,etc. I miss that old jeep and my dad.

I have this same model its taken me everywhere in the past 7 years I've had it. Quadra-Drive-2 is the second best 4wd system Jeep offers, only beaten by the Wrangler Rubicon. Pair QDII with a 360HP HEMI and its an absolute beast that also rides nicer on the highway than the overpriced wranglers 😂

I have driven Jeep Grand Chrokees for 30 years, averaging 350,000km on each Jeepm first one in 1994, then 2004, then 2014. Best buy and no major problems. I live on a private gravel road 1km long and I drive on snow 5 to 6 months a year, plus we get temperatures down to -35C.
